Never Summer Range W.of RMNP

Has anyone done a ridge traverse from Mt.Richardson to Baker)? Was wondering if it requires rock gear or more like alpine scrambling. This is the 12,000ft dramatic range on the continental divide visible to the west as you descend Trail Ridge Rd into Grand Lake. I have the trail maps but any personal experience info would help.
