Here's why it mattered. I'm a smart guy, with an open mind, and yeah, I tend to lean right.

Were it not for you, Marko, with now a solid reputation to me (well sorta) I would not have read past the first paragraph of that article. His bias would have meant he wasn't serious about reaching the likes of me. "Berkeley Professor - like I need to read an article to know what his opinion is. Is his last name 'Churchill'..."

But because you've aggravated my life so by being able to rise past our earlier (which perhaps is to say my earlier) discourtesies, I've had to take you seriously enough to think hard...

Unreasonable speech turns off reasonable people. Why is that hard to grasp? It ought to be one of the rules for the next generation of politics. I should copyright that, too.

I am worth nothing if I am not at least a $200 whore

"self-aggrandizing jackass" - it says it right on the label

The void left when the Soviets lost the cold war definitely plays into the situation with terrorism and our aggressions in Iraq. Both communism and Islamic Fundamentalism were/ are seen as alternatives to western style capitalist democracies, rightly or wrongly,by those that fail to benefit from that system.Without the Russians
