Warning! Respiratory bug going around is BAD :(
Here's my Public Service Announcement:
Last Saturday (12/9) I got that feeling that I was fighting off something and the following night ran fever, had the green sinus discharge and scratchy throat. Monday I was running 103 F for the first time in many many years. Monday (12/11) my Dr. said that my symptoms are indicative of a particularly nasty bug that's going around here in Colorado and immediately dismissed the idea of going back to work last week.
A week later: I've run fever at some time on each day since, have felt like crap and am running fever over 100 F right now. Right now I plan to stay home tomorrow and miss the 6th work day due to this crud.
When you go out in public, please remember to wash your hands frequently, don't touch your mouth, nose, or eyes when you've been out in public, and get plenty of rest. Avoid anyone that's got an obvious cold as if they've got the plague because this is the miniature version.
If you've got a case of this crud, please do your coworkers a favor and stay home until iits run its course.
Thanks,
--Andy
