That is an impressive event! Seeing that and the landslide along the Big Sure coast exposes the dynamic nature of our landscapes.
I try not worry too much but found myself being irrational for the first time in a while about such events. As you know, Andy, my wife was in Yellowstone for a week and it was when the MT earthquake happened. Google is dangerous in those moments given Yellowstone has been having one of their earthquake clusters this year (hundreds).
In reality, they only thing they think may have been related to the earthquake was 15 minutes of trees making loud noises as they swayed.
I have seen some amazing stuff in the wild but think I would be content only to read about landslides like that instead of witnessing them.
