Are you saying that if Bush wasn't such a failure then Obama wouldn't have won?
"Clearly we live in a country of dominantly bush/palin type folks. Obama only won due to Katrina, Iraq, Economic failure...and mostly Economic Failure. Most Americans do not seem to belive in freedom, they believe in their way and why is anyone else different...those idiots, but that is not just Americans, it's human"
I may have been unlcear "those idiots" belongs in quotes in my orginal rant. That is not me call Bush/Palin folks idoits....that is anyone of us calling the folks that hold the other polical viewpoint "those idiots"
So no not stupid and clueless for the Bush/Palin folks by me personally, only to the passionate Clinton/Obama folks...and vice versa
Sorry if unclear. Mine is more of a message of relativity.
In regards to calling Bush a failure, I identified some events that rolled through the media and our minds (and some continue to do so) that, seems like, resulted in getting Obama elected. I did not call Bush a failure specifically, only that he sybolizes a portion of the political agenda and certainly seems like he will bear the historical blame (along with our voting generation) of some unfortunate events in recent years. Palin seems somewhat politically aligned with Bush. Just an observation.
Personally I blame us all, it is our govt and we allowed events to progress the way we did, Iraq, Katrina and the Economy. I will put a ps to clarify this at the end as to not get flamed but not bore.
My general perspective and some stats seem to support that overall our country is more "conservative" than "liberal" (why are all our polical identifiers incorrectly used - only reminding us these are brand names). This has and I had assumed would continue to result in Republican Leaders.
I fret at the overall misuse of our freedom and this would be the source for my negative comments on any players ultimately.
I feel that Rebulicans/Conservatives/Etc. tend to have open views towards freedom in business and regulation of affairs (business and private - ie building codes), but closed views towards freedoms in one's personal life.
I feel that Democrats/Liberals/Etc. tend to have open views towards freedom in one's personal life, but closed views on how folks should do business and regulatation of affairs.
I want freedom in just about anything, so I need to cut and slice. If that tells you where I am coming from. Two options is absurd, with decades of folks saying they feel like they have no good choices, and no new choices having the power to come to light, despite there being many passionate people out there. We need more parties and more opportunity to become part of our governement.
Hope this clarifies I am not evil and not calling specific people I do not know idoits.
Iraq is the people's fault because overall we were behind it.
Katrina is the people's fault because we just assumed our government had it covered and overall, even if things were handled poorly, we do not have the collective resources to effectively respond to many other Katrina style/level disasters nationwide, nor should we expect it. It would be too expensive.
The economy is the people's fault because we knew it was happening, we knew the growth would not continue, some did not read or understand or get a friend or consultant that did (mortgages), we accepted unreal inflated prices/wages/values. We could not believe how easy it was to get loans, for anyone. We just did not want to picture it any other way and now we are here. Could some rules have been made, sure. Could some lesson be learned if all pain is not glossed over, for sure.
This is our govt and our society, we are running it, unless we just let others do it.
2 rants in a matter of hours, I am wiped. Sorry folks, I will log off for another month or two.
