Of course, I like a good laugh!!! Its good for the sole.
Sounds scary! What exactly is this "pre-socialism" stuff?

BTW, I am glad that your feet are happy about the election in Minnesota finally being resolved!

I guess it could be scary, in time.
Pre-Socialism? An introduction into a social system, where the means of producing & distributing goods are owned collectively & political power is exercised by the masses.
Resolved? My feet itch.

I agree, totally scary. We're already halfway there, by the way Glenn Beck & Limbaugh see it. So what's that look like, actually?

ummm, ok....so maybe we're not halfway there yet. But I know we're moving in the direction where people are siphoning off more from the Federal government that they're contributing...in fact, one state in particular has a nasty trend in that direction:

Fucking socialists.

HA!! Funny that little details like these get "lost" in the general debate over just how much money those free-spending liberals are wasting now. Thanks for re-finding the numbers! You might want to let O'Reilly and the rest of the "fair and balanced" crew know that they missed a couple of stats in their reporting.

Most recent data available, according to the Tax Foundation. Feel free to track down some details of your own. Not that Alaska has been a slouch- still #1 in 2008 in terms of pork barrel spending (would that be wasteful government spending?) Best I can tell the latest figures show Alaska receiving $506 per capita in federal earmarks (as opposed to $18.70 in Arizona; credit to McCain where it is due). As for Palin's request's specifically, she actually DID lower the amount of her own earmark requests - from $254M in '07 to $200M in '08. Or, in other words, from $430 per capita waaaay down to $333. Way to 'reign in the earmarks', Governor!

In comparison, your state of Texas (condolences) requested just $34 per person in 2007. How's that make you feel about $arah's conservative credentials? If sucking at the Government teat was a sport, Alaska would be All-Pro MVP while Texas is riding the JV bench (I LOVE Palin's sports analogies!)
