Selling my camera any ideas on where to place an ad?

The Camera is in great shape and i have really only used it a few times. I am selling it because i need a video camera and i just don't use it enough. The Price includes the package that i bought. Three lenses: 70-300mm, 58mm, and a high def wide angle. Also have some filters and a lens guard, Could also throw in an outfitted peli case as well size 1200.

call me for questions

Maybe you should say what kind of camera it is.

Try selling on Craigslist

Your camera

Eric,

There is a publication called Shutterbug that is a great place to buy and sell used camera gear. You can find a copy at Barnes and Noble (or find them online). You can also sell it on ebay, and some camera shops will sell your stuff on consignment. Then there is the possibility that the place where you want to buy your video camera will take a trade-in, but you will most likely get a better return if you sell it yourself.

Over the past 20 years as a professional photographer I have found a couple of retailers that I would suggest to you. I find that both B&H (www.bhphotovideo.com) and Roberts Distributors (www.robertsimaging.com) are great at the whole customer service and have fair prices on both still and video equipment. I have found that it is worth paying a dollar or two more if the stores stands behind what they sell.

If I can help any more let me know.

-Bryan

You can also try KEH.com very reputable camera buyers. Try posting it on some forums as well. But to be honest, with used 20D's going for $800, I doubt you'll find a buyer for $700.

I've sold a few SLR's on Photo.net. Very cool site.

Besides that, best luck in the paper and craigslist.

Eric,

As someone who buys & sells cameras regularly, the best place to sell a camera is on ebay, it's also in my opinion the worst place to buy them!

When selling the camera do no sell all your gear in one lot, that's the worst way to go. Sell each lens & the body seperately.

Kaleb

btw, I'm assuming that your "high def wide angle" isn't actually a lens, but a screw on?

If i'm wrong I'd be interested.
