This does not work well for multi day trips but for day trips, if none of the locals want to go, I just load up and get to a popular run's put in early.

Never had a problem getting a invite and it was not long till I knew people all over the state and the invite call list increased.

I have heard or read on the Buzz about folks getting their gear set up and just hang out some of the popular multi day runs and hope for cancellations from the rangers. I have heard this story a bunch about running the Smith in MT.

kinda sad that this is my first post but.....hell yea do people bail on any kind of boating non motorized, they act like ther billy bad ass at the bar or party but then say they cant go because ther girlfriend said she wanted to do nothing that day, week, month AND year. The other one that i get alot is "call me that day" as in "I'll do that if I cant find something better, youll wait around for me to try and better deal you, rite?". I also get no show, no call, no ask them days later why they bailed and they say they dont know, like thats an odd thing for you to ask. Sometimes I think people get an ego boost by bailing/ditching others as if the activity is below ther high standards or "lame". Its also a great cop out for lazy people. One day Ill get a pontoon boat, that way all they loosers can drink smoke and sit on ass, ill get to pay for everything, clean up everything and listen to them talk about how cool they are when i'm not around. Well I feel better, but to be fair I get the same thing from mtn bikers, downhill skateboarders, photographers, snowboarders, campers, surfers, fishermen etc etc. Unless the activity is bar hopping (and i dont even drink) people dont do shit unless you do 99% of the work, and they cant find something better at the last minute..........damn ther I go again
