Conyers will hold Rove in contempt, the matter will be turned over to the Justice Dept., Mukasey will do nothing, and this will likely end up before the Supremes. The Supremes will NOT say, "stop in the name of love," nor will they affirm the UNANIMOUS decision by the Burger Court in United States v. Nixon
that held that executive privilege is not an absolute right:
The court noted that "military or diplomatic secrets" of an administration would be given "utmost deference." But the court was simply unwilling to go further to extend this high degree of deference merely to protect "a president's generalized interest in confidentiality."
