"Sometimes a policy is so reckless or immoral that supporting its backer as "the lesser of two evils" is unacceptable. If enough people start refusing to support any candidate who needlessly terrorizes innocents, perpetrates radical assaults on civil liberties, goes to war without Congress, or persecutes whistleblowers, among other misdeeds, post-9/11 excesses will be reined in."

This article articulates exactly why I cannot vote for Obama again.

You're missing the subtle difference. Of course money in politics is a HUGE problem. But only because WE allow it to be. No matter how much money someone spends, they cannot be elected president unless we vote for them. This Election we will see the first billion dollar campaign. When you cast your vote for an establishment candidate spending a billion dollars, you are buying the bullshit they are selling. You are willing to overlook corporate bailouts, imperialistic foreign policy, undeclared wars, shredding of the constitution, assassination of US citizens, terrorizing and murdering foreign citizens in drone strikes, torture, etc, etc. With your vote for an establishment candidate, you are saying the billion dollars they spent on the election is more influential on your decision than the character and integrity of the third party candidate you would have voted for. What you permit you promote. And you are promoting money in politics and the destruction of this country.
