Religions

They've got their place. There's some good that comes from them, and some bad. Blast away with your opinions here.

Some people need an explanation of the unknowable
Some need a guide for morality
I really like the part of the Catholic Mass where we all turn to each other, shake hands and say Peace be with you

Sometimes I think the biggest problem with religion, is it gets in between people and God. Just cause some clown on a pulpit says it's true, don't mean it is. Figure that part out on your own, use the common sense God gave ya.

"There's nothing wrong with some good ideas, it's when people build a belief system that things go bad."

I will admit, some good things come out of religion sometimes.

The rare good things are far outweighed by the bad. Think of the wars, genocides, and atrocities that have been committed in the name of religion.

One only has to stand on the bank of a river at sunrise or sunset to understand that forces greater than mankind are at work.
Standing on the bank at Lava will reinforce that understanding.
Running Lava will generally permit one to see the face of God, or perhaps it is the Devil; in any case, there are no atheists in Lava.
How one acknowledges and submits to that reality is an individual choice.

For Schutzie's part he came to an understanding with God a long time ago.
Schutzie will live according to his understanding of God and God's expectations for Schutzie.
God is responsible for everything else.

So far it's worked. God has pushed Schutzie along when he has stepped away from the path, and so far, Schutzie has no issue with how God is running things. He doesn't always understand what God is up to or why, but then that isn't part of the deal either.

Peace

How arrogant can you be? We are everywhere and a rapid or a foxhole doesn't change facts and evidence.
