Well, its Bowl Season again (here's the schedule
) and the SEC is already stinking things up for themselves. Kentucky fell the ACC's Atlantic Division leader last night. Former Heisman hopeful CJ Spiller put up 68 yards rushing on the SEC East's second-to-last place team, getting them out to their final 8-point margin of victory in the 4th Quarter after a fumble recovery deep in KY territory. Way to dominate, ACC!
Tonight the SEC will have a chance to do it again as the Dawgs face the Aggies in the Independence bowl. Here's a good summary
of the matchup by a Dawgs fan that makes me really
look forward to the game:
Both teams are really bad at playing defense, but one of these two bad defenses will be coached by a full paid professional staff and the other will be coached by a head coach with an offensive background, an assistant coach without a contract, and a couple of graduate assistants. One team is really good at playing offense, but the other team consistently turns the ball over three times a game. One team is highly enthusiastic about being in Shreveport after finishing under .500 thrice in the last six years, but the other team doesn’t seem particularly motivated. It would seem that the Aggies are holding all the cards.
Hopefully the Bulldogs can show up as a highly-disciplined, well oiled machine and put a beating on the Aggies. Maybe I'll win the Powerball drawing this week too...
And in other the other big SEC news from this weekend, one acronym sums it all up: WTF?!?!?
At least, as he continues to pull down $4M in his "Detirement," Urban Meyer will be able to afford having a personal yoga instructor come to his house as part of his new daily routine
that will help work out the years of accumulated stress that have finally taken their toll.
Here's to the SEC pulling out all the stops and dominating their opponents from here on out this season!
