Go hogs! Finished the year @ 5-7. Not great, but considering our youth, not too terrible. We'll be good in two years. Here's hoping the tide can roll against Auburn tomorrow.

too bad the tide didn't make it to the NCG this year. i hope that OU destroys the gayturds, even if it would be good for the SEC if they won again.

Well its New Years Eve and the SEC teams are finally starting their bowling for this season.

Gotta say its been interesting with the coaching shuffle that's going on, and teams that were supposed to be on top crashing in the dust.

As for UT stinking it up bigtime this year, don't worry, JBL - Bama hired a fresh-faced young coach with connections in the pros not long ago and things worked out just fine in the end - after we fired him and brought Saban on board. At least y'all have your full compliment of scholarships and no bowl bans in the forseeable future.

UGA did OK though its a sign of pretty high expectations when a "down" year has all of three losses.

For me it was an especially pleasant surprise that Bama came through with a 12-1 season, and even had the lead taking FL into the 4th quarter of the SECCG. Looks like things are definitely looking up for the Tide and it'll sure raise the bar for next season. Hopefully Saban can bring in a good crop of 'croots again and start the cycle of reloading rather than rebuilding.

Here's to Vandy, LSU, SC, UGA, KY, Ol Miss, Bama and the UF representing the SEC this year by pounding their opponents and running the table in the bowls.

The football year was for sure less exciting than last. It is important to point out that SEC will reign supreme again this year as the first post referenced years ago. This thread and the football season is a great transition into the ski season.

As for the SEC

Well, its been a fun ride this season - going into the Clempzin game in August I'd have given a chuckle if you'd told me Bama would go 12-2 for the season and be in the SECCG. Gotta say that Utah is the real deal and Bama didn't take Utah seriously enough going onto the field tonight and we paid dearly. Utah was the better team and Bama got pounded - there just isn't any other way to spin it.

Its been good to see how Vandy, UGA, UK, and especially Ole Miss have done so far - apologies for Bama stinking up an otherwise good day for the SEC.

Looking forward to seeing UF go against OU in the big game where hopefully they'll show well for the conference.

Also looking forward to seeing how this very young Bama team matures over the next 8 months. We'll be playing Va Tech in early Sept.
