Personally, I believe that whichever you go with, it would sound better if you add an "Arrr" at the end. You know, just in case you are feeling like a drunken pirate.

Im a snowboarder but when I go to the mountain I say Im going sking. Doesnt really matter just going down the mountain having a good time. Rowing or oaring just having a good time.

Actually oaring and rowing are synonyms so both are correct - it's called a dictionary people.
