If you're going to do that, you should at least learn to do it intelligently. Use spell check for christ's sake. Read your sentences out loud and see if they make sense. Believe it or not, you are judged on not only what you say, but how you say it. I speak like an English teacher because that's what I am- you probably have some valid points but you speak like an uneducated moron- what does that say about you?
The reason laws such as that do not get changed is because the proponents cannot validly represent their argument. Well-informed arguments are the key to persuasion. Does this- "the key to fixing economy is legalizing the herb the taxes that could be generated for all newbies not knowing anything about fine mari jane, than" look like a well stated argument to you? If anything, it proves why marijuana should not be legalized on the grounds that the general public will forget how to put sentences together.
As far as the name calling and put downs go- it really just makes you look more uneducated. Go to school. Read a book.
We will obviously never see eye to eye and I hate sounding this self-righteous, so I'm done with this quasi debate.

Well, this post sure has taken some turns since I last left it. Funny how only a few actually discussed the original post. Even funnier that Caspermike was one of those posts.
Casper- I don't think that legalizing pot will solve all of our economic problems. Yes, I do think it should be legalized. And, I also think it would help out certain aspects of our economy -- free up useless jailtime for pot offenses, free up wasted money spent in court systems, create tax revenue, create jobs for freedom farmers, etc. But, I don't think this one issue is the "magic solution." I think our economic problems go much deeper.
BTW- Pot does cure one thing... bad hangovers!
Now to address the off subject stuff: To the people who say Iraq is getting better... according to whom??? The White House, the US media, Associated Press? I am kinda having a hard time believing these establishments lately. I think they all serve the same agenda... It's called imperialism.
Let's not forget that the American gov't and military illegally invaded Iraq and now occupies it - naked imperial aggression. I still can't understand why more people seem to easily let this one slide by. If the US media is not helping out in this imperialist aggression then why don't they remind their audiences of the illegal invasion??
I hate to be the one to say it, but the next elections won't change anything about Iraq. The only thing that will change will be the faces in the White House, but the same foreign policy will continue -- Maintain the Empire. Troops will remain in Iraq and the war/occupation will continue its haphazard road to the control of the oilfields. Or, maybe it will result in the defeat of Washington's plans for the region.
These imperial aggressions will not stop until the military industrial complex is dismantled. Unfortunately, I don't think that will happen anytime soon. This aforementioned complex has dominated the political sphere for too many years. This domination is why no politican who wants to stay in power will ever defund the military industrial complex. The handful of politicans (Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich) who would dismantle this powerful complex can easily be destroyed by the propaganda created by this complex. For example: It is why MSNBC (owned by GE a major profiteer from the war) tried to demonize Dennis Kucinich at one of the Democratic debates about seeing a UFO. I was amazed and annoyed that MSNBC only directed one question in this 2 hour debate to Kucinich. I was sickened when this question had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with trying to make a person look bad.
This same propaganda wing I speak of will also continue to fool the "bewildered America herd." Watch out for the boogeymen. Boo! Only they can save you... so give them all your hard earned dollars (worthless dollars these days) so they can keep building and profiting from their machines that kill.
I'm sure that last rant of mine will stir up the pot.
