That seems conclusive.

"Comparing it with another ingredient isolated from marijuana called THC, which is used in some medical treatments, the researchers said CBD does not have any psychoactive properties, so using it would not violate any state or federal laws."
FOXNews.com - Marijuana Compound May Stop Breast Cancer From Spreading, Study Says - Health News | Current Health News | Medical News
So the legalization of Marijuana is not really the argument, but a logical fallacy.

"Researchers stressed that they were not encouraging cancer patients to smoke pot, adding that it would be highly unlikely for patients to receive an effective concentration of the compound in that way."

Hmmm... that's too bad.

There's no way this is a biased source.

THC is effeective

mrijuana is an upper unlike all other substances.

brain cells are not destroyed by smoking. it acctually helps them regenerate.

alcohol, cigerettes, which are some common substances which kill brain cells?

which puts a big fuck u back to the anti marijane communites putting out those here's your brain on pot commericals!

also patients with dieseases like parkinson, arthritis benefit from the entire plant not some sysntisiezed product that doesn't match the healing power of the enire plant.

it was once legal in the US

Walmart raft- cute.

Despite the personal attacks I enjoy debating with you- or rather, correcting you. For example:

Only a certain type of marijuana is an "upper" because of the higher THC content. Types or strains with lower THC and higher CBD (the compound thought to stop the spread of cancer, incidentally) are actually more depressant.

Secondly, it is proven numerous times that smoking pot affects short term memory- which is an indication that something bad is happening to the brain cells.

Thirdly, it is another logical fallacy to compare marijuana use to the use of alcohol and cigarrettes- just because they are bad for you does not mean marijuana is good for you.

Finally, the only thing I agree with is that marijuana is helpful in relieving the symptoms of a great variety of ailments including parkinson's, alzheimer's and cancer.

Incidentally, I am not against the legalization of marijuana, I'm against the use of false logic and faulty information to support an argument.

the sativa is uplifting and cbd indica is not so much but couch locked its the same thing pot is pot so stop calling my info faulty

and its not due to cells and memory thc intereacts with your resecptor in your brain thats why transmission slow down.

mj doesnt have the negative side effects of smoking cigerettes and drinking so how is it not good it has no bda long term effects?

Do you think that the "receptors" in your brain are not formed by and function because of cells?

A. it is arguable whether or not marijuana has similar side effects as smoking and
B. Even if it doesn't, it has its own long term side effects such as, quote:
  • Enhanced cancer risk
  • Decrease in testosterone levels and lower sperm counts for men
  • Increase in testosterone levels for women and increased risk of infertility
  • Diminished or extinguished sexual pleasure
  • Psychological dependence requiring more of the drug to get the same effect
  • Difficulty keeping track of time, impaired or reduced short-term memory
  • Reduced ability to perform tasks requiring concentration and coordination,
    such as driving a car
  • Increased heart rate
  • Potential cardiac dangers for those with preexisting heart disease
  • Paranoia, hallucinations
  • Impaired or reduced short-term memory
  • Impaired or reduced comprehension
  • Altered motivation and cognition, making the acquisition of new information difficult
  • Paranoia
  • Psychological dependence
  • Impairments in learning and memory, perception, and judgment - difficulty speaking, listening effectively, thinking, retaining knowledge, problem solving, and forming concepts
  • Intense anxiety or panic attacks
marijuana side effects
I'd say those are long term side effects. Before you say- "that's arguable," let me say it for you. I know that it's arguable, that doesn't make it less possible than the opposing view. The point is that it is evidence to support the argument.
