If you would even consider the advice that the friendly folks here have given you (who are being nice to you even though you have not made one intelligent, literate, or non-hypocritical post), maybe, just maybe you could surprise everyone with a little nugget of wisdom, or something that doesn't sound like it came out of a 2 year old with a mouth full of gerber.
Jesus Christ. OK- I've been following it too and it is ridiculous in so many ways.
Mike rarely posts anything that the rest of us don't already know, already disagree with, or can't understand. Regardless, he does bait people like Helio and Marko and DS to tell us what they know in response to his posts. And I, for one, learn a lot from them.
People constantly put Mike down for his grammar and spelling (though most fall into the pot and kettle department). As Mike says, this is not an English composition forum and some very intelligent people have been all but illiterate.
Here's my question. Why doesn't anyone ever ridicule the ability of everyone else to read? Close reading is a skill as is good writing. So, the point is, add the periods, capitals, pauses, and put as much effort into understanding what he is saying as the effort you put forth in deriding him. I rarely have trouble understanding what he's trying to say, although honestly Mike, sometimes 2 sentences from you take me longer to decipher than one of Marko's full page posts. And Mike, conventions were invented to aid understanding- re-reading and revising a sentence here and there won't kill you.
In this entire thread, Mike has tried to insist that people stick to the topic. From that, I learned a few things from El Flaco, Helio, and Marko. I also learned how quickly people will sink to base levels when they are irritated with their own inability to comprehend or relate.
So, while I'll be the first to agree that Mike's literacy is marginal at best, I'll also translate for you- stick to the topic- do you agree that the war on terror is necessary, was necessary in the first place, and should be continued?
For the record- I was against it on Sept, 11th, 2001, against it when they called for the surge, and against it today; but I think you already knew that Mike.
Mike- Flaco clearly stated his position several times- I wouldn't continue that confrontation, it does look foolish.
