Bush Superlatives

As we prepare to say goodbye to the Shrub in Chief, it's time to reflect upon the truly exceptional things that have occurred over the last eight, long and painful years.
• Shattered the record for biggest annual deficit in history.
• Set economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period.
• Set all-time record for biggest drop in the history of the stock market.
• First president in US history to enter office with a criminal record.
Set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips than any other president in US history.
• Set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12 month period.
• Appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in US history.
Set the record for the least amount of press conferences than any president since the advent of television.
• Signed more laws and executive orders circumventing the Constitution than any president in US history.
Issued 157 signing statements challenging over 1,100 provisions of federal law.
Created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States.
First president in US history to have the United Nations remove the US from the human rights commission.
Withdrew from the World Court of Law.
All-time US (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations.
Dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.
• Most Americans killed in a terrorist attack.
• Lowest approval rating.
• Highest disapproval rating.
• Perhaps the ONLY oil man who couldn't find oil in Texas.
• Laziest president in history. Bush surpassed Ronnie Raygun's record-setting 866 days hiding at Camp David or his Santa Barbara ranch. Shrub now has 879 days at either Camp David or his Crawford ranch. Most people assumed that no one could touch the Gipper's laziness, but the Shrub has done it, and he still has 4-and-a-half months to go!

The "good" news? Think of how much more damage the bastard could have done if he had been on the job.

no, but they did know the Al Queda or other terrorists had ideas about using planes as missiles or at least to use for an attack given the G8 summit in Genoa in July of 2001 was prepared with anti-aircraft batteries for just that type of attack.

How about biggest dumbass. Of course, he can still do a lot more damage before he leaves office.

The twin towers didn't "start everything." Once again, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Osama Bin Laden, the alleged mastermind, is still presumably at large in Afghanistan.

Uh, I suggest that you study a bit before you make such utterances. Bush was busy IGNORING the Al Qaida threat from the start of his administration to the collapse of the towers. The record is crystal clear on that.

Mike,

Looks like you drank the Kool-Aid. Bush is an imbecile who is directly responsible for many of the big problems plaguing our nation today. Not to recognize that is to either be a partisan ideologue or a person who lives in an information vacuum. Put down the Kool-Aid, turn off FoxNews, and realize that you have been conned. It's not easy to admit that. None of us wants to believe that we've been suckered. Clearly, you have.

CasperMike,
How can you dispute this.

August 6, 2001:

Bush receives a memorandum from CIA Director George Tenet entitled, "BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE IN U.S." This "Presidential Daily Briefing" or PDB warns of potential terrorist hijackings in U.S. airspace. The PDB later becomes the object of a tug of war between the White House and the Kean Commission.

May 15, 2002:

The White House admits the existence of the August 6 PDB. The New York Post headlines the news: "Bush Knew." The next day, Condoleeza Rice proclaims that "no one could have imagined" planes would be used as weapons. She says the warnings to Bush related only to "traditional hijackings," not kamikaze attacks.

In 2004 The White House only released 1.5 pages of the 11 page document.

Here is a video if you have trouble reading.
