Does that mean he grows weed? That would explain why you always sound three-quarters baked...
you make some pretty shitty assumptions.
Given your analytical prowess, that should mean something... I'm not sure what, though.
I'm calling BS on your BS, CM. Either you VALUE future research or you don't. You can't say that what exists right now is BS and shouldn't be pursued while ALSO saying that once it does get better, you'll switch. How do you get from now to the point where even you on your Rail-Baron High Horse buy?
You do it by R&D, and you start where you are. This is how solar has improved since the 70s, dipshit!
Furthermore, you continue to IGNORE two real and pressing problems with fossil fuels: Pollution, and finite supply. Any comments?
Allow me some more:
As world populations increase, pollution continues to be a problem. I'm absolutely fine removing Global Warming from the debate, because we really don't have a firm grasp right now on how much CO2 emissions are contributing to rising temperature.
What we DO know is that chemicals in the air and in the water are destroying biodiversity, and as much as I think frogs are cool, the problem isn't as much about killing frogs, it's about killing the micro-organisms and small species of animals that are essential to maintaining human food supply
I'm a firm believer in gathering evidence before making drastic decisions, but the evidence of environmental impact of carbon and other chemical pollutions is sufficient at this point that human beings ought to research ways to reduce pollution, and fast. The consequence of failure is starvation, and eventually, cataclysmic wars over food supplies.
It's time to innovate new energy sources for the reasons I outline above, and for this reason:
Whichever nation or alliance perfects an efficient, reliable, mass producable power generator from renewable energy sources will dominate politics for the next several generations. I'd be happy if my nation was part of that security picture.
I understand you're happy living under your bridge, but don't be surprised when the world passes you by with the rest of the dead-enders whose only intellectual capability lies in belittling the ideas of others.
Have a nice weekend.
