Best Whitewater Kayak DVD's or Magazines

Looking to purchase either a new (2007/200 music whitewater kayak DVD, or a subscription to a magazine as a gift. Can't seem to find any information on the latest DVDs or the best magazine. Any suggestions???

I personally don't like LVM at all. I find their "articles" to be way too short, and their ads to be way too long. Not a good format at all......

The new crop of movies this year are superb. Source (YGP), The Black Book (SLP) or Hotel Charley 3: The Lost World (CH20P) are the ones I would recommend.

Kayak Session magazine is about my favorite boating magazine out there. The large size and format equals some incredible pictures, plus it is more of a world-covering publication, with info about shit around the globe, and not about the same old runs that are in every other boating magazine. Definitely worth the price of a subscription.

I'd say "TWITCH V" and "TOXIC WATER'S" for movies. Maybe even "Dynasty"??? I thought they were all pretty good!

good calls, there.....Twitch V really shows the limits of whats possible in a kayak....maybe not in the way of "progression" of the sport......but definitely stupid kayaker tricks.

dynasty is a good one even a few years after it came out

never seen Toxic Waters.....

Outside of the new ones mentioned above (go with Black Book) my all time favorites are Amongst It (very short though) and Valhalla (pure sickness all the way).

^ yeah the Black Book is one of my favorite movies ever. some quality footage in there of some really unique places! the only possible downer is the Tsangpo chapter, which will be just a super quick re-cap if you have the "Into the Tsangpo" movie SLP made a few years back. Otherwise its top notch, high water Zambezi, Chutes St Ursule, Canada.....awesome!
