Ballotpedia - handy ballot summary site

While doing a little research on some of the constitutional amendments and referenda on this year's ballot, I stumbled across Ballotpedia. Pretty cool site with a summary of each of the state-level items on the ballot this year. If you haven't voted yet and need some info on a particular matter, this is a good place to get it.

On another note, holy crap that was a long ballot, maybe the longest one I've ever filled out.

It is an annoyingly long ballot. Study now, vote early and bring a cheat sheet. Trying to read (and understand!) the amendments and referenda in the voting booth is a disservice to yourself, the people behind you in line, and ultimately your state.

mail in ballots are a nice "take home exam."

or better yet, do like i did: stop by the courthouse, pick up a mail-in ballot, take it home, study there, fill out the ballot, and turn it back in to the courthouse. worked like a charm for me. but then again, i live and work about 6 and 2 blocks, respectively, from the larimer county courthouse, so picking up the ballot wasn't hard.

And vote early! I went today with my cheat sheet and I was in and out in 15 minutes. The lines will be crazy on election day.
