almost a year since my accident, and i would like to say thanks.

its been a year since i had my accident, well about a week shy of a year, and i apologize about not keeping y'all updated. as for my recover i have pretty good articulaton, and strength, 85 pounds of grip. not bad for 11 tendons 2 nerves, and 1 artery huh? my ulna nerve has showed miraculous recovery, i have little to no clawing when i straighten my hand, and fingers to 0 degrees. feeling still isnt quite there, but oh well huh? i'm lucky to be alive, and doing what i am. As for what i've been limited to? well, that's not very much, i find myself struggling to tie knots at times, but i've found that it's made me a better kayaker, and skier 100%. march 5th of 2010 i managed to ski the 'slides' at white face on my liberty helixes, its been the steepest descent since i moved from CO, and i was extremely nervous so soon out of surgery, and i knew that if i fell it would most certainly lead to another surgery, well after i did a few over zealous kick turns on the icy slope i started to loosen up, and enjoy it. it was the start of a new beginning, and shortly after i started play boating, and was even safety boating for white water challengers on the black river running III VI rivers. And i ran 'poop chute' for the first time successfully after plugging it about 30 times . While i did take a few swims this season(got them over in one day) on that black river at the end of july it was amazing. Now heres my FB page so you can see what i've been up to lately.

now, its time to thanks. i don't know the names of everyone on this website that have helped me out but first and foremost Dana(mania), he offered to set up a donation website which helped out immensely with travel, and medical expenses, tony m for donating a large some of money, and more importantly giving me a reason to be positive while i was at an all time low. Jen, and bob(bob builds, and jenns just ducky) friends who i've known since i first moved to colorado, and have been friends with them ever since, and while there are countless other people that have helped those are just the ones that i can remember. As for all those that donated i called in february or march and talked to those who i could and left messages saying thanks for those that weren't there. feel free to add me on face book, or pm me any time
