The Cold War wasn't real, Kruschev and Stalin were just midunderstood nice guys. Marko, I never listen to that fat blowhard Rush.

As far as global warming goes, we have had a 40 year trend of warming(not 80) due to coming out of the mini ice-age most scientist would agree. Extrapolating this into fear is misguided. We need more information on this theory before hurting the third world by implenting bad policies.

And yes, I stand proudly by my comments regarding Palenstine. Do some research and find out of right, the land was called Chaldea until lefty/jew haters like you were spawned.

I believe Chaldea is actually the area they called the Babylonian area known today as Iraq. Palestine is the name was given to area a very long time ago long before the roman empire. By your comments it sounds like you have a hatered for the arab people and now your calling people anti-sematic - I'm so sad for you!!

Also the mini Ice Age ended right after the revolutionary war. The after effect of gobal warming is not the earth becoming some hot, but the temps. are going to drop too severe levels with ice, snow and fridged temps, which in turn will ruin crops and spread disease as a quick explaination. Global Warming is obviously happening in the most recent years. My point being whether or not the reason is human or not. Cycles must be taken into account and majority of Climatologists agree that from the '30s to 70's the trend was of colder mean temperatures world wide.

Again, I am going to use BastardSonofElvis' advice as to the last comment about me.

Worthwhile essay on Cold War for anybody interested:

According to the conventional view, the Cold War was a conflict between two superpowers, caused by Soviet aggression, in which we tried to contain the Soviet Union and protect the world from it. If this view is a doctrine of theology, there's no need to discuss it. If it is intended to shed some light on history, we can easily put it to the test, bearing in mind a very simple point: if you want to understand the Cold War, you should look at the events of the Cold War. If you do so, a very different picture emerges.

Also, check out his book "Deterring Democracy." Here is the link to a free online copy... This is where I got most of the "dissident" viewpoints about the Cold War.

If global warming is a naturally occurring cycle then wouldn't it be prudent not to exacerbate it by pumping chemicals into the atmosphere at an excelerated rate?

If scientists discover new better evidence shouldn't they change thier analysis? Or should they say "It's an ice age damnit, were staying the course".

The problem with the conventional view of the cold war is that it makes no effort to be intellectually honest,it's loaded with self serving propaganda. The truth is the Totality of reality good and bad. For every act of Soviet aggression/injustice you can site in eastern Europe ,I'LL match with one of U S sponsered injustices in Latin America. There were no good guys, just a power struggle. The right will site poverty and human rights violations as proof of the evils of left wing governments in say Cuba, but conveniently ignore poverty and human right violations in Haiti , El Salvador, or Paraguay. Not to mention the huge extent wev'e gone to undermine all things populist/socialist.
