Texas Billionairre to develop Wolf Creek!!!!!

Red McCombs, texas billionairre and owner of the Minnesota Vikings, is looking to put in a base development at the bottom of the Alberta Lift at Wolf Creek ski area. His plans are to include over 2,100 units and 220,000 sq. ft. of commercial space. This would include building up into the Waterfall Area. The Forest Service is doing an environmental impact survey that will deal with water, animal migration, and other issues related to this development. Please help save Wolf Creek from becoming just another overdeveloped ski area. We already have enough of those in the state. All letters and inquiries must be received by the Forest Service by April 5, 2004.

Just found out that they had an overwhelming response down there, unlike anything the local forest service office has ever dealt with. Thus far, they have over 500 comments, and still counting. with most of them being negative. By comparison the orginal land exchange that enabled this proposed development had about 10 comments. This will definately have a large impact on the shape of the EIS. Thanks to all who took a few moments to comment.
