Sunday afternoon my 2002 Solmon Definition (165) with brand new Burton Cartel bindings was stolen from the base of Winter Park. I've been pretty dilligent about keeping my board close whenever I go into the lodge, but one moment of poor judgement has done a lot to shake the faith in my fellow snowriders.
I'm sending this out to get yall thinking about that moment when you place your board onto a rack and think to yourself "It'll be ok, no one's going to mess with my board." I thought that until about 4:00 this past Sunday afternoon when my head scratching over an empty space where my board used to be, turned into rage when reality sank in.
I'm going out to buy a lock for my next board, and I'll use it religiously. It may not be able to stop the very determined thief, but it may be enough of a deterant to keep the scum walking past.
If you happen to be the scum that took my board, watch out for that karma.
