CALL FOR VIDEO/FILM SUBMISSIONS
BOISE STATE UNIVERISTY
Sawtooth Mountain Film Festival
Got a video camera or some film footage from your last great adventure? Join
other filmmakers by editing it up and submitting it for review. If it is
selected, it will be included in the ninth annual festival Sawtooth Mountain
Film Festival on March 7 & 8, 2008. The selected films will highlight the
spirit of adventure that is driving the cutting edge of adventure sports.
The annual sell out event is designed to both promote the Outdoor Programšs
services and Idahošs bountiful recreational resources.
The festival is organized by the Boise State University Outdoor Program and
was designed and developed to generate funding for the Boise State
University ‑ Student Outdoor Leadership Development Program. The net
proceeds from the event are used to provide quarterly expedition based
leadership training opportunities for about 25 student candidates per year.
Graduates from the program give back to the university and Boise community
by cumulatively teaching about 150 educational and/or technical skill
programs per year. Former students from the program have gone on to
influence and shape the outdoor industry as field instructor, guides,
educators and owners of recreational businesses.
Film Format: Mini DV or DVD marked with title, producer, and contact number
(selected films will need to be resubmitted by Feb 10, in a Mini DV format
so that films can be
mastered into a common format for ease of A/V and consistency sound at the
festival)
