Best All Purpose Boots for Me?
I'm looking into buying a pair boots within the next couple days. I haven't bought boots in almost six years, so I am not up-to-date with the new gear. I would like something that is durable and versatile. I consider myself an expert level skier. I'm 5'9"-10", male, 165-68 lbs. I recently purchased a pair of 177 Volkl Karmas. I usually spend 60% of my time doing all mountain stuff (trees, moguls, medium size cliffs, powder, groomed, etc.) and 40% of my time doing park (jumps and some rails). I DO NOT WANT A RACE BOOT. The models I am looking at are:
Technica Diablo Flame Hot Form and Ultrafit
Salomon X-Wave 8 and 10
Salomon 1080 Foil boot
Nordica Beast 12
Lange CRL 80
I am leaning toward one of the Technicas since I'll be riding Volkls this year. Of these which would you recommend? and, why? Are there any other boots out there that I should be looking at? If I am in the Park is having a boot come as high up on your shins as the the X-Wave 10 do going to hinder me?
