AT Set up questions...How far can this stuff be pushed?
After getting some great advice from the board and doing a little reading. It's starting to look like the AT set up is the way to go. The Naxo(i think that's the spelling) binding is supposed to be as reliable as a down hill set up. I'm pretty sure that's the way i'm going to end up going. Although I currently have my din at 11, and those bindings only go up to 12. So much for being in the mid range for din.
The type of skiing I enjoy is steep chutes with lots of drops. Pushing my limits safely is what I enjoy most about skiing.
I know I need to stick with a downhill ski. I'm wounding about the boots right now. Can an AT boot stand up like a downhill boot? Equipment failure in steeps is not really an option. Would you guys trust an AT boot to stand up, or should I go with a downhill boot.
Thanks for the help guys,
