MTCW, I have a Superstar and that thing wants to play......It can do all the moves (although I can not). I ran Barrel Springs last week at 1300 and it was good to go.......and a little extra excitement. If you want a boat that runs rivers better but may not be as great throwing the big air moves then the fun is the way to go....The boats DO NOT LEAK!!!!!
I got it last year and have run Gauley, Yogh, Snake, Numbers at really high water, Middle narrows....and quite a few other rivers. Just to give you an idea of the rivers it runs......I think the entire Jackson crew paddled the star series on the Zambezi. Email Craw and you can demo the boats. I heard he's giving everyone that demos a Jackson a free six pack (your choice) of beer.

The Fun is a Free-Runner, and the Allstar is a Freestyle boat. If you want a boat that is designed to run rivers AND play, then get the fun. If you want a boat that is designed ONLY for play, then get the Allstar.

Any boat can be taken down any whitewater (think Ed Lucero's recent 'world record' in a freestyle boat), but boats are not designed to do everything great. There is a lot of information in CKS's new 2006 catalog that will steer you in the right direction for a boat purchase.

See if you fit in the 4Fun if not the Super Fun.
You'll find the Stars are great playboats but kinda want to stand on the tail going thru holes as a river runner.

Neither boat will be as slicey as your Super Ego, I own one too.
And have paddled the others with my limited play ability.

Think Fun's for surf&water tricks and Stars for Big Air.
