Replace the gaskets...it's easy and not that expensive. You don't need any sort of kit...just an old cup and aquaseal, a thick rubber band, alcohol (etoh to drink and isopropyl to clean the gasket mating surfaces), fine grit sandpaper, and a new gasket ...some wax paper/baking paper makes everything easier and cleaner. Lightly sand both the remaining old latex (outside approx 1 inch) left after you cut down your old gasket and sand the new gasket (inside, 1 inch), clean with rubbing alcohol, put the cup inside the old gasket, stretch the new gasket over and fold it back on itself about an inch (this is the part you sanded), glue it down with aquaseal, place a thick rubber band around the whole glued area and leave it for a day. It takes about 15 minutes. For neck gaskets, I use a bowl, pot, or pitcher instead of a cup, and those large stretchy hair bands that are about 6in diameter instead of rubber bands.
