Which Creek Boat?

First, I originally wanted a Dagger Nomad but at 5'8" and 180lbs I seem to be in between the 8.1 and 8.5. Sitting in the 8.1 feels great but EVERYONE says I'm too heavy for the 8.1. But sitting in the 8.5 I feel like it's huge. So I am looking at some other options: Maybe the flatter planing hulls like the Mamba or Burn. But also thought about the Habitat or Karnali.

Second, despite the specs of these boats saying I would be fine in a certain size (Habitat 74 for example), as I mentioned above, everyone says get in a bigger size so I am at the low end of the weight range. That is great, Im sure for big drops but in the mean time I am swallowed by these boats.

I will be running Russell Fork, Upper Yough, West Prong (TN), Green Narrows...

Any input regarding model and size is greatly appreciated!
