What should I pay for a used Perception 3D?

It would be the first boat I've personally owned and it's pretty banged up.. He wants $300 for it... I know nothing about used kayak prices at all, so maybe someone could help me.

I'm not trying to cheat the guy, I just dont want him to get me on this deal..

Thanks in advance!!

Make that 300 go further.

$300 can go a lot further than a banged up perception 3D. shoot for an older kingpin or something. Dream big, well at least bigger than a Perception. Just my thought.

I agree with the above........$300 is too much for one of those. You could get a much nicer boat for that much. I wouldn't pay more than $150 for one if you ask me. It is a good boat for learning, but you'll grow out of it after the first season (or sooner if you pick it up quickly).

$100 thats about it! I bought one last season for $100 IN oK shape but for $300 you could get a much newer boat.

The answer is...nothing.
I hope in the future Americans are thought of as a warlike, vicious people, because I bet a lot of high schools would pick "Americans" as their mascot. -Jack Handy

Guys, I really do appreciate it, the less I can spend on a boat, the better. I'm a full-time photojournalist for a paper, and don't have a ton of free time right now, but I really want to focus on learning as much as I can this year. This seems like it could be an inexpensive boat to learn with.

Thanks for the great responses,
