another vote for the Mamba. ridiculously easy to roll and you can surf it a bit. stick with the plaining hull boats if you are coming from an IK, boats like the jeffe or nomad may trip you up a bit. if you are looking to stick with the III'ish stuff you don't need a displacement hull, you will apreciate the crisp turns of things like the mamba, deisel or burn. IMO the hero padles like a card board box.
