for some reason my friends waterstick paddles shaft is filling up with water. we can only guess its coming through where the blade meets the shaft. we plan to drill the smallest hole, in the most descrete place.....1/16 wide at the most to let it drain then plug it with some good glue. then add more glue to where we think its getting in. he bought the paddle cheap beacause they supposedly were going out of business. should be contact waterstick first. any suggestions.
use epoxy as the glue it works much better. then at both ends of the shaft spread lots of epoxy then use a trash bag and cut a strip out and tape the strip over the glue very tight so that the glue sets smoothly. and when you take the trash bag off take standerd electrical tape and tape over the entire area where there is epoxy in a couple of layers. my also help to tape over where you drilled the hole. if that doesnt help contact waterstick
Mine leaked shortly after I purchased it a couple years and was replaced under warranty (while they were still in business). Then this year, the replacement sprung a big leak when one of the blades broke off! Good luck.
