I recently got a Sony DSC-TX5 and have been pleased with it so far.
It has some pretty cool features. 10 FPS bursts and the video looks pretty good for a pocket camera. Fits in my PFD pocket great, It is Cliff Bar sized and I don't even notice that I have it along.

Only con is the paint is chipping off the lens cover a little.

Check it out:

For anyone getting occasional water droplets on the lens... I discovered a trick with my GoPro helmet cam that worked like a charm. Rainex. Yes, the $4 stuff you can get in any auto store/aisle. Dab it on with a Q-tip, let dry, wipe down with the dry end of the Q-tip. I had no more problems with water droplets, and in lots of class 3/4 boating.

I picked up an XP10 from Costco this year and have been satisfied in a get what you pay for sort of way.
Pros: Durable and waterproof so far. Cheap. Intuitive and easy settings. Buttons and screen are OK. Good battery life.
Cons: Grainy photos at low light. Takes 15 seconds to boot up after pressing "on."

I got a Kodak Playsport waterproof video camera this summer. $150. No bells or whistles, but easy to use and nice clear videos at 720p. Wish it had better zoom. I mounted it to a mini-tripod that I attached to my drybox on my Cat. I could easily reach the controls to turn the power on & off, and hit the start & stop button. Working on a helmet mount for next summer so I can film my friends coming thru the rapids after me.

bought the Sony dsc-tx5 as well and am really stoked with it. 10 megapixels and the video is extrememly clear. Takes sony and standard sd cards. Love it both above and below water shots.

I got the Olympus Stylus Tough (10 megapix) from costco this past spring. So far it takes great pictures on land, river and pool. Very happy with it.

i purchased a canon d10 for a Grand Canyon trip and tied it to my PFD. it worked great for 3/4 of the trip then i experienced a few difficulties. it keep displaying a 'lens error' message. i made it through the trip with some great photos. the color filters allowed me to create some magnificent landscape photos. after that i had to send the camera back for warrantee repair. although i got the one bad camera out of a batch of 1000 i still stand by canon for their picture quality and customer service.
