Waterproof camera

Hi, anyone have a waterproof camera that they like? I HATE my Olympus Tough. Horrible picture quality and it takes forever to turn on.

Olympus sucks the mostest. I actually just threw away my 2nd "tough" camera today, and was definately thinking as I did it that I will never buy a product from them again. I think they suck to the extent that I am not going to bother to send it back and jump thru all the hoops to have it replaced. I would guess any other option would have to be better. I've been pleased with my GoPro pictures (of course video is alright too) this season.

Canon PowerShot D10. A bit bulky but rugged and excellent picture quality. The rechargeable battery lasts for days with heavy use and could probably go a week. With a second battery, we haven't been without when others cameras have died. I also have a Samsung waterproof HD camcorder that doesn't come close for pictures or short movies. The Canon seems to adjust to bright light, reflections, and glare and depict colors vibrantly and accurately. We use it for everyday photos as well.

I hate my Olympus. The waterproof camera I had before this one was a Pentax Optio W. I LOVE LOVE LOVED it. I beat the crap out of it and it took great pix, til I lost it in a river. Would get another one in a heartbeat.

I have one of the Olympus ones--not sure of model number tho.
My only complaint is time to exposure...other than that, it's been dropped, soaked (extensively), and beat down a trail on my KX. Takes stellar pictures and great video too.

Perhaps you guys have an old model or don't understand the whole 'camera' concept.

I use a Sony TX10, really please with the build, ruggedness and image quality. In addition it doesnt look like a rough/tough waterproof camera - which is a plus.

Most of the images on Unsponsored | River Run, Creek and Play since 1998 have been taken with it.

Naw you understand the reason I don't like the Olympus it's the delay in exposure. You snap the pic and it usually has a big delay and miss the shot often. It is durable and takes great pix when you can get it to shoot.

+2 for the Sony, have been really happy with mine. Have the older TX5 and have been really happy with the picture quality. I beat the crap out of it and it is still working really well so can attest to its reliability. My Dad has the TX10 and really likes it like unsponsored.
