The big thing I'm worried about is that around here (Indiana) most of the rivers are class 2-3, and are pretty darn tame. So I want something that I can still throw around a bit (I'm not into full on playboating, but still like to surf, and occasionally cartwheel).

And I need something that is ok to run down the new river and ocoee as well.

So on the standard weekends, we run the tamer rivers in indiana, but on say 3 day weekends and vacations, we run a bit heavier rivers.

Based on your latest post I'd say your list of "river play" boats is a good list to start with. Start demoing and see what works best for you - fit, comfort, performance. I've used a Jackson SuperFun for the last many years because it fits my size well, it's uber comfy, and has good "all around" performance. Even though a Jackson Monstar (playboat) makes playing MUCH easier, and the Jackson SuperHero (river runner/creeker) makes running class IV easier and less stressful, I spend 90% of my time running class III, so the SuperFun has been the best all around boat for me to date. Looking forward to demoing the FreeRide 67 next weekend and seeing how it compares to the SuperFun.

I own a Fun and it is awesome for the type of person who wants to do a lot of different types water but, doesn't want a full on creek boat or playboat. Everyone of those boats is pretty similar, I don't think you would be disappointed with any of them.
