Valve Removal

I need to remove four C7 valves to pour in a raft sealant kit. My questions are these. First, can I just use channelocks, or do I need to get a valve wrench? Second, they're in good shape, so will I be able to remove them without goobering them up? I ask because I can't get parts locally and don't want to take them out right now if I can't put them back in without rebuilding them.

Buy a tool. You don't want to ruin with the wrong wrench. The goo will probably goo it up if you don't remove them when applying said goo.
