The OP sounds like a troll. Question is, for what company: a paddling magazine, an auto manufacturer, or ???? I mean, "FJ Cruiser vs. Xterra" to "LandRover vs. Mercedes"??!!!!
Regardless, I've owned a couple of Toyota trucks and a Nissan truck. All have their pluses and minuses. A longbed truck with topper (either regular cab or what I call a "gear cab") fits my needs better than an SUV, but you can get trucks with crew cabs. Very pleased with the Nissan Frontier I bought new 7 years ago, and yeah the 6-spd manual and V6 are great for mountain driving. It also pulls my trailer well; I use that every week in paddling season.
You don't need a moped when a bicycle will fit in any SUV or truck, and almost every car, too. Talk about saving gas...
