In. regards to some comments in this thread
Token of My Extreme is an awesome IK video
Attila has a great reputation...maybe you caught him on a bad day or pissed him off somehow.
Don't know what you mean that they invented the Ducky ...people 1st D'd the Copper Canyon in duckies in the 60's..maybe Thrillseekers were the 1st truly class V capable ducks ,not even sure about that.
Aire Force "doesn't surf well",huh WTF?I guarantee it would easily win any ducky rodeo by boaters of equal skill...check out Farve's video of throwing down and rolling it extremely well...it front and side surfs very well...enders and pirouettes
are a blast. in the Xl
Yes the Xl handles the most like a hardshell of any ducky of the 8 or 10 ducks i've paddled..have not paddled a TS but agree with the statement it paddles like a duck but a good one...the Force catches micro eddies on small pushy creeks about a billion times better than other ducks.
Don't get why you would prefer a single walled boat versus Aire's bladder system's extra durability and ease of repair..makes little sense but to each his \her own...Agreed Aire has awesome customer service and the best warranty of ANY PRODUC T not just kayaks\rafts I can think of.
Can't carry much and one for those triangular yellow bags with built in attachment for webbing fits perfectly on the back deck's d-rings
Seems like the old Xl bails adequately and I am larger than 6'2" 230...the foot brace is good if you strap it down with webbing( there are loops right there)..it would be nice if the backrest could move farther forward
Currently down in Miami working ....have access to awesome private pool daily...trying to learn to roll Force Xl ( can pool roll hardshell kayak consistently and sometimes combat roll) but sucking bad ...my paddle is only a 202 or 198...what size paddle do those of you who can roll a force( or any duck) using?Get rental car and 4-5 day beach vacation as part of deal .Some of the surf spots I am going to hit had 68 mph winds today .Things could be very exciting or ass- kicky ( is that a word ?) under those type conditions
