Well, since the thread is back I'll let ya all know how it went. First I want to say I totally cleared my head of all preconceived ideas. I demoed a 12' and 13' WD and an 11' and 12.5' Legend. Also boated a 13' wildcat over the course of two weeks. I learned than the same principles in kayaking apply to cat boating. Its 10% boat and 90% boater. So, for me I felt the 12' WD was the bees knees. It simply out preformed both legends when meshed with my boating style.

That's great, glad to hear you got something you liked. I'm curious about the frames, were they all generally the same design (seat height, type of foot bar, etc) and widths? I think the drop seat is really good in the smaller boat, easier not to catapult when I hit something big and all but stop. My other frame is wider so it wouldn't be a good comparison.
I am a river, babe - I've got plenty of time, I don't know where I'm going, I'm just following the lines..... - "We are water" by Shaye

I've got one of Dusty's frames on my Legend, as does my brother and a good friend. We spent 50 days on the water this last year (Rogue, Deschutes, John Day, North Santiam, Clackamas, Sandy, Nehalem) with not one problem. Our boat colors were our own choice and Dusty customized our frames the exact way we each wanted. 3 different length boats, 3 different color combo's, and 3 different custom frames.
He does good work and I still recommend Dusty to friends (one more friend has put one of his frames on a set of Jag tubes just this year).
