Tear Aid reviews?

Has anybody here had a chance to try Tear Aid to fix a hole while on the river? I would to know if this product really lives up to its hype. I am looking to looking to lighten up my repair kit and it would be nice to dump these heavy cans of glue. I am also getting tired of throwing out expensive glue every couple of years due to it's short shelf life. Trying to glue on the river is a pain in the ass to do right and the patch will usually need to be redone after after I get off the river anyway.

Tear AID = "magic tape"

Yes the stuff is AMAZING! If you dont have it in your kit--you really are blowing it. The stuff is amazingly strong and pliable--I have the wid 5ft roll in my kit. If you blow open, just dry it off, clean the rubber w. alcohol or touloulne then slap the product on---you're good to go. I have some of these tear aid patches on my Avon from 2-3 year back that I've never bothered to repair. GET IT!

Very handy - used some to fix a small leak on the bladder of an Aire IK this spring. No muss- no fuss, just peel and stick. It has held air so far, although now it will inevitably fail 'cause I'm talking about it. I don't even want to think about using it, if you know what I mean.
