Sunglasses

Does anyone know who makes the best sunglasses for whitewater? www.silverfish.com seems to have the best selection, but does anybody know how well they work?

Thanks

Oakley water jackets but they are pricey.

Pan Optyx sunglasses have some foam around them and that seals out spalshes pretty well. Pricey too.

Native sunglasses

Im a big fan of the Native Ripp. All of their glasses are polarized and other than losing them there is an unconditional lifetime warranty. Scratch them, crack them, stomp on them and $30 will get you a new set. $100 for round one then every time the lens get a bit worked over I just send em in for a new pair. I like their polarization as well. Whatever you chose make that a priority and buy from somewhere you can return them to if you dont like them after you take them down to the river to see how well they cut the glare.

I really like Seaspecs. Similar to the Oakleys mentioned above but much cheaper.

I have been trying to find the best pair of shades for paddling for sometime now, and think I may have finally. I just bought a pair of habervision "nice". They are polarized, have rose colored photochromatic (9-18% light transmission if i remember correctly) polycarbonate lenses, hydro-phobic lens coating, a pretty comfortable fit and light weight. I only have 2 days on the water so far with them, but my hopes are high. The view through them is very sharp.

The native ripp with rose color lenses is my second favorite pair glasses for paddling that I've experienced.

I've tried pan optyx, and found that the foam lead to additional fogging. In CO that seems to be a major problem.

Teva makes some neat shades with a very good integrated strap system. The outside of the lens is coated with a hydrophobic treatment of some sort which makes water bead up and run down quickly, but last time I checked they didnt have any polarized models. If they treated the inside of the lens (to help with fogging and water) and polarized them they would rock.

I've got a couple pairs of smith's (slider 01 polarized and some photochromatic model), they're decent.

I've tried some other stuff, nothing really worth mentioning. I never go outside without sunglasses, and I break them, lose them, and upgrade them a lot. Polarization is a must, photochromatic lenses rock, anything to help fogging is good.
