Stern Frame Oar Length Difference

Setting up my stern frame for the first time looking to get some oars for it. I've got 70" lock to lock. Standard thinking would have me at about 8' oars. This is a zephyr with quite a bit of rise to the tubes on the ends. The oar stands sit about 6" taller than where they would in the straight running tube, combine this with the elevated seating position on the rear tube and I'm kinda lost. Anybody have any good ideas where to start? Any feedback would be kindly appreciated.

I'd say 8.5 at minimum (including the blade). I'm running 8' on my 54" frame (60" tower to tower), 20" maravia cat tubes and its about right but still could go longer. But I'm trying to keep the boat narrower for some small rivers.

I'd try deflating the tubes a bit to simulate being in the water, lay it out in your garage, and then experiment with a piece of 2x material simulating the shaft length assuming the whole blade will be in the water. You are going to want about 3" between the handles of the shaft at the closest point with blades straight out side to side. with angles etc this probably gives you closer to 9" at chest height ...
