You are 100% correct. I went back today and purchased both for only 50$ each. Cooked dinner on one, which was really breakfast tonight. It was nice to have the four burners, griddle over two burners for pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns. Made coffee on one and had one burner left over, if you wanted hot water etc. The temperture control work fine. But everything is welded together so no field repair will be possible. Burners are welded to the grates and come out as one unite for cleaning. Would I recomend them to someone else, no. Maybe for 50$ no more. The outside case is the best part because when the inside guts fall apart you have one heavy duty BBQ for coals or boat anchor. Not a real good deal they look better than they really are. No way near the quality of a Partner stove.
