I am very thankful for the advice and am impressed with the wealth of knowledge you all present. I found a grainger in Boise and they have the fittings I would need. I was going to ask some questions about oar towers but I think I may start a new thread if can't find the desired info. I have learned a lot and continue to do so daily.

Buzz on everyone!

I think someone mentioned it earlier but for the oar towers the offset t's with three set screws work quite well. They tend not to rotate nearly as frequently as the ones with a single or double set screw design.

Not lurking. I just pop in every couple weeks.

Trying to finish an MA in fluvial geomorphology. Also building a research cat for a guy at UW. We used mine as an instrument platform last year and he liked it. Tubes from my good mate Jack and a custom frame with lots of options for mounting sensing gear.

Good gig: I row and he handles the electronics.

I'm also trying to figure out an easy way to machine an oarstand stem to fit those 3-screw SpeedRail tees. Something I can make out of aluminum bar scrap.
