You suck! I've had that trip in my mind for years. In 2002 I spent nearly 6 weeks working the Biscuit Fire, a lot of that was camped in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness and down the Chetco drainage. The Chetco is one of the most amazing places I have seen. I've always wondered how it fared after the fire and resulting runoff.... I remember seeing 12-16 inch salamanders in the lower portions.

What cool TR, I'm glad to see the chetco is still a clear pristine looking creek. Nice work.

it's definitely one of the one of the screwed up moral compasses of this site these days. allot of great TR,Vids, ect barely get any response here. it should be the lifeblood of a place like this. if you like it, let'em know to encourage more of it.

this place needs more story tellers,no doubt. and that goes x10 if you raft or IK. i'll be adding when i can from the more interesting trips i get on every now on then. this place needs all it can get, for sure.

also, this isn't meant to be a slam at you slamkal but one thing that might help is if people put the TR's directly on MB. so many are just links to a blog. that's always a buzzkill ,even if the blog content is good, because it has a spammy, self promotion feel to it. there are people here ,like unsponsored, where every single post they have ever made on the MB is a link to their blog. it's not terrible but it does kill the fun abit too versus sharing a TR directly on the MB with no strings attached.

I always enjoy these types of trip reports.
Is the rest of the trip to follow?
Very surprised to not see any wood in the river.

Incredible photos. The water clarity and those drops both look magical.

Sorry to kill your buzz, you must be high, I'm not slamkal, also the link to the blog story isn't my blog, it was another guy's on our trip, not sure how I am supposed to copy his blog on to the buzz. Clicking link sure is a PITA?

This is a great trip report! It makes me want an IK so I can try something similar some day.

Well done, sir!
