SOAR vs hard shell canoes ???

Just wanting opinions from people that have experience with both. I'm getting ready to buy something in the next few weeks either being a tandem hard shell canoe, a SOAR, or an AIRE IK. The one thing that has kinda steered me away from IK's though is seems like they fill up with water quickly in class 3 and above rapids with very slow drainage which would make the paddler/paddlers miserable in colder months and/or colder water.
