Nope, it's a 14' Vanguard Venture.

Goat, that is a much nicer setup than my cheap trailer. FYI, Watch out for the fender bolts. I noticed this last weekend when the trailer was too ass heavy the leaf springs compressed too much and caused the bolt and nut to rub into the tire a little and left a groove in the tire. I flipped the bolt upside down to give it another .5-1 inch of space underneath the fender. I might have to mock something up to give it some more space in the future.

Do you have any pictures of the hinge side of your trailer?

If you're still looking for suspension or axle replacement parts, check out They got me a new axle in 3 days when mine crapped out, and was cheaper than anything I could find in Denver.

Thanks Mora! I can't tell you how great it's been to have a box that is accessible. I've even added a table that hooks to the side for remote camping.

Thanks for the heads up on the bolts in the fender. I'll take a close look next time I have it out of storage.

I'll try and remember to take a picture next time I have it out. The setup was pretty easy though. The box is 4x8 and the platform the boat sits on is 5x10. I framed it similar to how you'd frame a wall. 6" in on the long sides (made it so it would open on up on the passenger side of vehicle) , I ran a set of 2x4's to hook the hinges too. I used 4 standard hinges. Then, using a bit of muscle, I screwed the hinges to the box. The two gas struts I picked up at a trailer store for about $30.00. I think they were 130lb's each.

Hey tomrefried and thaGoat, please post pics of the hinge side. Trying to get an idea of what that looks like for my own design.
