shitty thread --- what to do with my ecosafe toilet
so up until this point, I've dealt with this issue by trying to have someone else carry the groover on their boat.
I don't at all care for the Ammo Can's to house my eco safe tank. They weight 20 lbs alone, they don't fit anywhere, they have rough corners that can gall my aluminum frame in transport, and I don't want them against my other drybags.
Problem is the ecosafe itself eminates an odor thanks to the burping valve in the top of the tank.
So I'm wondering what the community thinks of a custom "groover" drybag that is sized perfectly for the eco safe. You would drop the toilet in the drybag, roll down the lid, and contain the precious cargo and burped gasses.
My thought is it would fit in/next to other gear, you can sanitize (wipes, spray) the outside of the bag, etc. You still are responsible for keeping them "right side up"
I know Jacks makes custom drybags but he seems to be a little busy this summer so I won't have one in time for my low water Selway trip.
Am I the only one who doesn't like ammo cans? I think saving 15 lbs is like adding a couple of gallons of beer ...
my other brilliant idea is to work with EcoSafe and come up with a better burping valve that you can attach a hose to and vent it underwater .... kinda like the farts in the hot tub that nobody notices. With that I could just make a strap harness for the tank and run in just in front of my own burping orifice ...
